Pastor. Dr. Stephen Tong
He has served God for more than 52 years, both in Indonesia and also in other countries in Asia, Europe, Australia, North America and South America. He has preached the Word of God to more than 32 million human beings, hundreds of thousands of whom have dedicated their lives to Christ. For 25 years (1964-1988) he taught the courses of Theology and Philosophy at Southeast Asia Bible Seminary (SAAT), Malang. Together with Pdt. Dr. Caleb Tong and Pdt. Dr. Yakub Susabda, he founded the Indonesian Reformed Evangelical Institute (1986) and the Indonesian Reformed Evangelical Theological College (1991) where he served as rector from 1991 to 2002. Seeing more and more churches preaching the Word of God irresponsibly, he founded the Reformed Evangelical Church. Indonesia (GRII) in 1989. In his 69 years of age, he is currently serving the preaching of the Word in 5 countries almost every week.
Rev. Billy Kristanto, Dr. phil., Dr. theol.
Rev. Kristanto was born in Surabaya. He has been active in music ministry since Sunday school. After graduating from high school, he continued his studies in music in Berlin at the University of the Arts with Mitzi Meyerson. In 1996 he continued his postgraduate studies in The Hague at the Royal Conservatory with Ton Koopman. He also studied fortepiano with Stanley Hoogland. He completed his studies at the STTRII in 2002 with a Master’s degree in Christian Studies. In 2005 he was ordained as a pastor by the IREC Synod and is currently the supervisor for IREC in Europe. In 2009 and 2011 he completed his doctorate and obtained the degrees of Dr. phil. in Musicology and Dr. theol. in Systematic Theology from the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg.
Vic. Leo Chandra
Vic. Leonardo Chandra first came to GRII in 2003 while taking his Design Bachelor’s Degree at UPH Karawaci. From then on, with the growing urge and calling to serve God as His servant, he continued to serve in youth ministry of GRII Karawaci up until 2012 when he entered STTRII Jakarta. He received his Master of Theology in 2015, and has since served as an assistant pastor; from 2015-2018 in GRII Bintaro, and in 2018-2021 in both GRII Solo and GRII Yogyakarta. At the moment, he is continuing his doctoral study in Theologische Universiteit Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
